a red doberman known as the,
"practically perfect pooch,"

IN MEMORY

In the early evening of August 7, 2001, Sammy, the beloved cat of Denise Johnston passed into spirit. He was a big golden boy who was the alpha male of the family and as I recall being told was 10 years old. He is safe in the arms of the angels and renewing his strength and getting his heavenly sea legs as we read this. Many blessings goes out to Denise, his human mother, who tended him well and is still the well trained servant to two other little lady cats.
     In memory of
Isis

October 31, 2001
Beloved gold and white cat of a neighbor
passed into spirit.
This prayer was written for her and was placed with her remains and recited at her eulogy.

ISIS OF GOLD AND WHITE
As you were born from purity and light,
You are that again.

From the womb of the Goddess you came
And are now reborn to sit by her side.

All earthly duties are done.
All earthly companions give you love
and charge you with light
To swiftly move to your new home.

Through the heart of your earthly mother you go.
She bows down to your grace.

Through the heart of the lion you pass
To sit with Sekhmet and Bast.

Blessed are you for all eternity.

Often we do not know where to place our pets when thay passed to spirit. They have little place to be honored for the life they lived. Here is a place to have mentioned and honored your beloved pets and those who loved them as well. You are welcome to send in your request to: sandrahelton@sandrahelton.com

ANIMAL SPIRITUALITY
July 2005 Passed to Spirit

My dearest Zelda, a dark gray shih-tzu was around 15 years old was helped to spirit in July, 2005.
She was adopted at the age of 9 from Journey's End Animal Orphanage.  Even then she was a bit weary as she was most like used for breeding before being left there.
She was tiny and quiet and as she grew old she lost her sight and then most of her hearing.
Zelda was made comfortable and the living room became her personal area.
She left a big empty space in our home and we miss her physical presence.

Life is better
      with a little help.
May the thousands of dogs inhumanely killed each year be at peace. The dogs killed for meat live in torturous conditions until they are painfully murdered. The brutality is so overwhelming that I can only say you need to be prepared before viewing any pictures and videos. This behavior is unnecessary. That such is allowed to occur is a sign that we must all pray for humanity as well.

Dog meat is not being eaten as a way to survive, but is served in many restaurants in various Asian countries.

There is never an excuse for brutal and painful killing.

Humankind is reaching a point that pleads for enlightenment. If you will, pray for people to see from their hearts.

FLAGGER
Passed to the spirit side of life in July 2006

Flagger has been my neighbor for quite a few years and just a week ago his human mom told me he has passed to spirit. He was not alone, but was held and is now also being held by angels in the world of spirit.

He was a little, white, scruffy old boy who walk short distances with his person, Nellie, who loved him very much.

I liked seeing him around and now look forward to maybe seeing his sweet spirit also visiting the neighborhood on occasion - if he has the time! I think Flagger is busy visiting and playing and enjoying his strong spirit body.

1990-2004
Winston
1990 - 2005
               CASEY, MAGGIE,
and DESI

Casey, beloved cat, passed to the spirit side on December 17, 2006.

His sister, Maggie, followed him to spirit just shy of one month later on January 16, 2007. They were both close and lived in a loving earthly home.

They dwell now with their beautiful brother, Desi, who passed to spirit two years ago.

While they are deeply missed here on earth, they are now free of all suffering and enjoy eternal happiness together in Summerland.

          BUCK RODGERS
              March 5, 2007

A sweet adopted dog who was found 16 years ago running along a busy road.

He lived with his guardian, Darlene Rodgers, his earthly angel, since he was an adopted pup,

and is now living with the angels in Summerland.

ZOIE

Passed to spirit April 1, 2007
in the early morning.

It is with great sorrow that I announce the passing quite unexpectedly of a dear friend’s 4 year old mastiff, Zoie. She had some previous discomfort and then suddenly she was in need of quick care, but it was not possible to keep her here among her earthly family. She was adopted by a wonderful family and shared her home with other grand dogs and cats. Her photo has been on my bulletin board above my desk and while it is a shock that she is gone, it is also comforting to know she is safe with the angles in heavenly realms.  Blessed be Zoie for all eternity where she feels no pain and lives in joyous peace.

She is greatly missed by her guardian and human Mom, Toni,
and a family of dogs and cats.

Sidney & Winston were brothers who were preceded by two sisters who were not able to be rescued from evil so died young.

The passing of my beautiful "Rumor"
from Denise Morgan

On August 17, 2007
RUMOR, a beautiful Black Labrador
passed to spirit at age 14.
She is missed by her guaridan, Denise.

This is her poem:

HER BEST FRIEND

THEY SAY THAT DOG IS MAN’S BEST FRIEND
WELL I GUESS THAT  I’D AGREE-
BUT WITH ONE QUICK MINUTE OF YOUR TIME
A SMALL CHANGE IN THAT YOU’LL SEE

THE BEST FRIEND FOR A DOG -  IS A WOMAN
WITH SO VERY MUCH LOVE TO GIVE -
AS A FAITHFUL DOG WILL LEARN
A WONDERFUL LIFE THEY’RE SURE TO LIVE

A WOMAN BY NATURE SO LOVING
LOVES HER DOG LIKE NOBODY KNOWS -
AND HER DOG IN RETURN WILL PROTECT HER
UNCONDITIONAL LOVE HER DOG SHOWS

AND SO GOES THE STORY OF RUMOR
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LAB EVER SEEN -
AND THE LOVE THAT SHE HAS FOR HER MOTHER
NO ONE  DARE TRY TO COME IN BETWEEN

WOOGA BEAR AS HER MOM LIKES TO CALL HER
FOR SHE LOOK’S LIKE A BIG OLD BLACK BEAR -
SHE’S  VERY SWEET,  SITS ALL DAY BY HER FEET
WITH HER MOM SHE’LL GO ANYWHERE

THEY LOVED HIKING IN HILLS WITH SMALL VALLEYS
AND SWIMMING IN LAKES ALL OF BLUE -
PLAYING BALL IS WOOGA BEARS FAVORITE
SO THE BALL HER MOM ALWAYS THREW

WOOGA BEAR STILL LOVING AND LOYAL
THOUGH GRAY HAIRS NOW GRACE HER SWEET CHIN -
WITH HER MOM BY HER SIDE, SHE STILL LIKES TO RIDE
IN THE CAR SHE LOVES TO SIT IN

I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU WOOGA
HAD I NOT MET YOU -  I STILL WOULD NOT KNOW -
THAT THE LOVE BETWEEN WOMAN AND PUPPY
ONCE NURTURED WOULD CONTINUE TO GROW

PASSED FROM THIS LIFE AUGUST 17, 2007.
SHE NOW RUNS FREE, JUST OVER THE “RAINBOW BRIDGE”

SPUDS

His name is Spuds and but sometimes I used to call him my little doodlebug. I raised him since he was 5 weeks old and he passed into Gods hands at the old age of 14 on September 28, 2007 one year ago this week.

Spuds was raised as if he were my son. He was just like a person. He used to get his own Christmas gifts out from under the tree and open them, he slept in our bed, he loved to bask in the sun, play hide and seek and loved to sit on his "memaws" lap and get back massages from her when she came over.

His back legs gave out on him and we treated him for years with Chiropractic adjustments and acupuncture until the day came I had to help him go into Gods hands and over the rainbow bridge.

It was truly the hardest day of my life although I know he is at ease now and no longer suffering. I feel as if he was a blessing from God when I got him but unfortunately I had to return him 14 years later. I hope we will be together again one day so we can reminisce on the great times we spent together as a family.
